We j’adore Le Maine au Cerf, a beautiful home in the most picturesque setting, perfect for walks and (or) runs.Everything from the pool to the table tennis and all the bits in between were perfect, in particular the pillows! Haven’t slept that well in years.The hosts were brilliant, great fun and always smiling – we hope to return very soon.

What a week! What a house!
We have had the best holidays in your wonderful home. We have made memories that will last a lifetime. From sunsets on the mound, family BBQs, boules on the lawn and lazy days around the pool.
Such brilliant recommendations like the Jonzac Wednesday evening market, Chez Ludo’s in Leoville, the Antilles in Jonzac and a fabulous day in Bordeaux. You couldn’t have done more for us!!

We love Le Maine au Cerf – it lived up to all our expectations and more.
We enjoyed everything your home had to offer: sunset hill, boules, vineyard walks, swimming, luxurious bathing, games, cricket, rounders, outdoor fires with marshmallows, fine dining, and meals at every thoughtfully chosen dining spot.
The area offered a beautiful, peaceful break. We especially enjoyed cycling to Jonzac for fresh bread from the Tabac/CBD shop!
Your recommendations were spot on – Bikki Beach, Chez Gigi, Mirror Lake in Bordeaux, Les Antilles Jonzac, and the Wednesday evening market.

We have enjoyed 14 days in your lovely home. Four generations enjoyed the pool, garden, nature, sunsets, climate and much more.
Breakfast to the song of the goldfinch. The pool was often the best place to play. Garden activities and walks through the vineyards and sunflower fields gave us wonderful memories and lots of wildlife sightings. The little owl sat on the roof every day. Green woodpeckers in the garden, buzzards, kestrels and many small songbirds were nearby.
Thank you for your hospitality, warm welcome, and help with discovering the town and local attractions. We hope to return one day.

A huge thank you to you, Phil & Mary, for your warm welcome. We had a wonderful time with our friends in your welcoming and pleasant home. What a haven of peace! We felt at home right away, we took full advantage of all the activities, and the children had a great time playing in this magical environment! Thank you for everything, for your little tips. Last night we went to dinner at Gigi’s; it was very nice.

We had a wonderful August week here. The house and garden are cool, elegant and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside – vines and sunflowers!
We were three generations and my mum appreciated the ground floor accommodation across the courtyard, while the teenagers loved the big airy bedrooms. They also appreciated the table tennis, boules, badminton and the lovely swimming pool.
The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed cooking and also using the massive built in barbeque in the outside kitchen.
There is a bread shop about 3km away for breakfast croissants and a selection of large supermarkets in Jonzac to stock up for the week.
The Jonzac covered food market is fantastic – a great selection of meat, fish and vegetables. Don’t miss the Wednesday evening street food market – the whole market square is filled with trestle tables and people from all over the area come to chose from the different stalls and sit down to eat, chat and listen to the live music.

We had a pleasant, relaxing and relaxing stay. The place is beautiful, very peaceful, a large beautiful and well kept garden. A cozy house, tastefully decorated and with all the amenities you need. Everything was clean and in a very good condition. Loved the indoor heated pool!
Mary and Phil welcomed us warmly with a nice welcome basket and lots of good recommendations for outings! They are very attentive and easy to communicate with.
We would definitely recommend and would love to come back 😊
